New Analytics Module
The Analytics Module is a significant new enhancement to Mobility XE that delivers unprecedented insight into the use of mobile computing resources. More than 20 reports with filterable criteria furnish intelligence on user, device, application and network behavior. Administrators can use the Analytics Module to fine-tune policies for higher productivity, spot problems before they impact workers, speed troubleshooting for help desk personnel, know when higher bandwidth or better coverage might be needed, and more.
The module also adds a notifications capability that detects when problems in the deployment are imminent or occuring. These warn administrators of overload conditions, connection problems or possible security issues with devices. With this automated capability, adminstrators can 'manage by exception' and spend less time at the console. The Analytics Module sends the alerts via e-mail, or integrates with standards-based network management packages often used in larger enterprises.

Advanced Authentication
Mobility XE now provides a means for public-safety and other agencies to meet new federal standards for Advanced Authentication at minimal expense. It supports inexpensive smart cards or X.509v3 user certicates, leverages the PKI infrastructure built into Microsoft server operating systems, and uses RADIUS-EAP infrastructure that is available freely or at low cost. In particular, this provides a robust option for law enforcement agencies who need to comply with the new standards but may not have allocated the additional budget. To learn more, read
