Director or Vice President of Marketing

The Opportunity
Design the strategy, develop overall plans and implement with your team marketing and PR activities programs world-wide for NetMotion Wireless —the industry-leading mobile VPN. Develop and manage the marketing budget to optimize lead generation, awareness, brand and strategic marketing.
This position reports to Sr. VP of Sales and Worldwide Marketing and will be based out of the company's headquarters office in Seattle, Washington.

Your Role as a Key Contributor
In this position, you will provide the strategy (with the SVP) for all marketing and PR activities, as well as work alongside your team in driving execution. Your ability to implement various marketing and PR activities means that you will have impact in many key areas: managing the company website, developing various sales tools (video, online and print), building numerous awareness campaigns and managing and implementing tradeshow and other company events, including customer advisory boards. The Director/VP of Marketing will be an externally facing spoke person for the company, including speaking engagements at events, interviews with press and interfacing with key analysts.
Types of Ongoing Projects and Responsibilities
- Work across the organization to ensure that all marketing and PR initiatives are effectively communicated, executed and impact measured.
- Lead and manage the marketing team (2) and external PR agency.
- Participate in executive strategy and operational meetings.
- Align closely with the two Product Organizations and Sales to design marketing and PR programs that best support their business objectives.
- Work with and leverage the marketing resources of partners (e.g. wireless carriers, Panasonic, RSA) to maximize marketing spend and reach.
Qualifications
In order to come up to speed quickly in this position it is imperative that you have a minimum of 8 years experience marketing technology solutions to enterprise customers, 5 of which include management of a marketing team with budget responsibility. Knowledge and experience of wireless data and/or enterprise security software is a major plus. A successful track record in a start-up environment is a must. Extensive experience and demonstrated success developing and implementing online campaigns and corporate web sites is essential to the success of this role. Experience marketing enterprise security or field force automation solutions to Fortune 1000 customers is a plus. Excellent writing and presentation skills are required as well as a BA/BS degree. MBA is preferred.
