Seattle, Washington – March 29, 2011 – NetMotion Wireless, a leading provider of mobile productivity and management software, today announced the acceptance of Mobility XE, the company’s industry leading Mobile VPN, into the Common Criteria Evaluation and Certification Scheme (CCS) program by the Communications Security Establishment Canada. This acceptance is a critical milestone towards achieving Common Criteria certification.
Common Criteria certification is one of the highest internationally recognized set of guidelines for evaluating security features and capabilities of products, and is accepted by 26 countries, including the U.S. government. This certification gives organizations critical assurance that a product meets the most stringent security standards, and is often cited as a requirement by government customers around the world
“Continuing to expand our Mobility XE business with government customers is an important part of our growth plans,” said Andy Willett, SVP Sales & Marketing at NetMotion Wireless. “Common Criteria Certification enables us to offer the productivity and management benefits of Mobility XE to those customers where this certification is a requirement.”
Mobility XE has been approved to pursue Evaluation Assurance Level (EAL) 4+. NetMotion Wireless expects to complete Common Criteria certification of Mobility XE sometime next year.
